Remedi is looking forward to some new changes in 2007. We have two new Trustees - The President Elect Mr James Moseley who is Director of Investment Trusts at Winterflood Securities and, Mr Colin Maynard as Trustee, and Head of Sales Trading at CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets. I am delighted that we have new fresh faces to welcome on board.
We had a very successful 2006 fundraising for Cerebral Palsy exceeding our target of £172,000 and now have funds available to award to another Cerebral Palsy Project in 2007. It is our policy to try and raise all the funds for a project in the year of the award so that we can confidently make new awards each year. In December we also awarded £137,500 to four new projects. The details of the new projects can be find in the Live Project Section.
For 2007 we will build on our successes and hold our fundraising events in aid of our unrestricted fund. This will enable us to continue to award projects to a wide variety of diseases.
Various fundraising events are held throughout the year and we are most grateful to our many supporters. We are also indebted to those trusts, companies and individuals who continue to provide financial support to our many diverse medical projects. If you have a specific area of medical rehabilitation you would like Remedi to support, we would be delighted to hear from you.
